the Porsche manufacturer is testing the coupe version of his iconic SUV on the road. BMW X6, Mercedes GLE Coupe and Audi Q8 could soon be attacked in their niche segment by the arrival of the brand 2020 Porsche Cayenne Coupe. After the go-ahead by the management of the Zuffenhausen-based manufacturer, which arrived last summer, the Cayenne Coupe could make its debut in the premium segment of sporty and luxurious SUVs with coupé arias by the end of the year just begun.
Currently, in fact, Porsche is grappling with the classic road tests of the new SUV that will see the light in the coming months to come. In detail, the images shot by the user DrGumoLunatic and reported by Autoevolution show a forklift of the new Cayenne Coupe proceed through the streets of the city of Stuttgart in the company of an Alfa Romeo Stelvio.
Porsche Cayenne Coupe Become BMW X6, Mercedes GLE Coupe and Audi Q8 Rivals
As can be seen both from the photos and spy videos, the forklift of the new Porsche Cayenne Coupe immortalized by the objectives of the photographers follows the design of the current Cayenne that we have already learned: to differentiate is the rear that, of course, showcases a style common to that of the SUV coupè mentioned in the opening of an article consisting of a rather sloping roof line.
Although the different camouflages present on the forklift in question do not yet give way to discover the definitive design of the newborn, the new Porsche Cayenne Coupe does not fail to underline its sportier stylistic nature. However, it is a style not too coupé-like, for example, the one put on display by the BMW X6 and Mercedes GLE Coupe: in fact, the future coupe variant of the Porsche Cayenne reveals a not particularly elusive roof line although it is distinguished by a very more inclined than the one claimed by the Audi Q8.
Porsche Cayenne Coupe Review
In the current state of affairs, the different camouflages that cover the rear of the future Porsche Cayenne Coupe do not allow us to get into the details of the style of the new SUV coming to Zuffenhausen, however, it is possible to make some assumptions about certain design details. In all probability, without prejudice to the general design guidelines indicated above, the style of the new Cayenne Coupe could inherit numerous stylistic elements already present on the rear of the new Porsche Panamera and beyond.
In fact, Porsche could characterize the tail of the new Cayenne Coupe with the luminous signature that has already found space even on the latest generation of Macan in which the subtle optical groups are joined by an original strip of LEDs. Stylistic distinctiveness but also practical loading for the new SUFF from Zuffenhausen: although characterized by a more sport-oriented design, it seems that the future Cayenne Coupe can be characterized by a particularly low load threshold, an ideal solution to allow future customers the maximum exploitability at boot level. We will certainly know more in the coming months when Porsche decides to reduce the camouflage present on its new Cayenne Coupe, a name that incidentally has not yet been officialized by the German brand.
